I don’t know how else to justify not updating my blog for six months. I want to blame writer’s block! And so as not having enough time to juggle work, chores, side gigs for extra income, family health issues, and other loads full of life’s uncertainties.
These past few months felt like everyone was caught in a whirlwind of political events, natural calamities, crime and violence, war, and economic hardship which are all detrimental to our state of mental health for sure.
Towards the end of the most touted 2024 election in American history, as the whole world watched, most Americans felt relieved but still nervous about the future. While others were in total disbelief of the new realities unfolding before their eyes.
A few times I had asked myself, how can I update my blog about healthy eating habits and new recipes when the world in front of me is in chaos? Part of my mind said it’s a state of mind… look at the positive things. These things should pass and go back to normal. Another part of my brain was skeptical of the new normal but very hopeful.
In the meantime, I went through the process of rebranding my site slogan, from “Exploring Life’s Six Tales of Tastes – SALTY, SWEET, SOUR, SAVORY, BITTER, & SPICY” to this → Experience Life in Your Tastes Buds, Be – SALTY, SWEET, SOUR, BITTER, SPICY, and SAVORY!
What do I mean? The new statement suggests mindful eating above all, as well as actively exploring different flavors. It is about engaging and connecting with people through different culinary experiences. It also means discovering new cuisines, observing the initial taste and aftertaste, the mouthfeel, and other sensory connections to food.
Experience Life in Your Tastes Buds,
Be – SALTY, SWEET, SOUR, BITTER, SPICY, and SAVORY!
Live life how you want it – unapologetic but mindful, uncensored but discreet.
In all honesty just – Be salty when you are upset. Be sweet when you feel kind or pleasant. Be sour when your temper is tested. Be bitter when something bad happens. Be spicy when you are excited. And be savory when you want respect and acceptance. Above all, live life how you want it to be – Unapologetic but mindful. Uncensored but discreet. These are life’s basic tastes as well as natural human emotions. These are the things I would like to capture in my new brand statement. I hope I have accomplished my own goal, thoughts are welcome 🙂 peace out!
