The husband came home late afternoon and asked his wife to make him fish and chips for dinner. The wife said, “Why can’t we just go out to eat? It’s Friday! Most local restaurants here have Friday fish fry on the menu. You haven’t taken me out for dinner lately.”

The husband responded, “Last time we went out for fish fry dinner, I had heartburn all night. I don’t want to eat deep fried fish in a restaurant anymore. They are crispy and delicious all right but it gives me acid reflux afterwards. I’m trying to watch what I eat now. You should too!”
The wife gave her husband a questioning look and asked, “Are you saying I don’t watch what I eat?”

“Honey you don’t! You eat junk food all day in front of your work computer and the TV. It’s too bad that you got stuck working from home after the pandemic. You sit in front of the computer for long hours staring at the monitor, it’s not healthy,” the husband explicitly replied.
The wife answered in dismay, “And yet I always manage to make us healthy dinners most nights, don’t I?”
Unapologetic, the husband responded, “Yes I know! I remember the baked tilapia that you made last time covered with corn flakes and parmesan cheese. Then we had air-fried potato fries and salad on the side. I loved it! It was delicious and healthy.”

“Alright then, there’s wheat bread and peanut butter in the kitchen. Make yourself a healthy peanut butter sandwich for dinner. There’s also lettuce and Italian dressing, add a side salad if you want. Maybe you’ll drop from 208 to 180 pounds overnight.” The wife went back to the computer in her office, put on her headphones and continued working, feeling dispirited.
The husband walked towards the kitchen, reached for a cold beer in the refrigerator, went to the living room, sat down on a comfy couch, and turned on the TV.
